Well May is off to a great start.
It's been a long time since I've updated anything, and if you've never seen me before- I've finally added subscribers in from giveaways I've done over the last two years.
So hey, if you're new here- Nice to meet you, I'm Margaux and I write contemporary romantic suspense, with dashes of darkness and trauma and everything in between. The series I am working on follows a large family of 7 men (some of them are honorary brothers) and 1 girl and all their miss-haps, triumphs and challenges in finding love. I have one book published so far: Of Lilies and Lies
Updates on Writing:
I am officially finished with my edits on Troy and Isla's story. I know it took forever, and I apologize. It's kind of been a whirlwind of life issues and managing kids, and sports and my own health things, but I am finally finishing up projects I had on the back burner.
Troy and Isla will head to the line editor this month, and then I'll be working on finding a copy editor if my favorite isn't able to sneak me in.
And Ophelia and Simon are heading to the dev editor sometimes this summer.
I need to work on a cover, and I have some really cool ideas! I purchased some brail sheet music, so it'd be cool to see that on the cover somewhere. I've played around with Troy, trying to make scarred hero that we can see. I think I've come up with some really cool options (drawn and lifelike).
If you've beta read Troy and Isla's story, which title do you like best:
Of Maestros and Malice
Of Songs and Sorrow
Of Sorrow and Symphonies
And.... If you are interested in beta reading Ophelia and Simon's story once it comes back from dev edits, please let me know (it'd be sometimes in the fall)... I'd love some detailed, in line comments about what works and what doesn't....
Also, if you like to alpha read and you like dark fantasy romance, please let me know, I would love some alpha readers for a super secret pen name I'm working on. :D
Happy May friends!!

Sour Dough Obessession
I've started cooking bread with fresh milled grains. I've always made things from scratch, but this is taking it to the ultimate level, lol. Of note: I don't discard. I take what I need, feed it a 1:2:2 ratio, and then when its time to cook again, I just use what I need and feed it again. You can ask me about it if you want.
200 grams of sour dough starter
475 grams water
680 grams fmf
10 grams salt
20 grams vital wheat gluten
Stretch and folds for 2 hours, then sit over night.... size it. Then cook it in dutch oven 450 for 25 minutes, then 425 for 10. It usually comes out perfect every time (I even use two aluminum bread pans, with one as the lid when I have more than one loaf - I grease them both and it still turns out amazing).

Books I've read recently:
